Roche Diabetes Care announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted 510(k) clearance for the Accu-Chek Solo micropump system, a revolutionary tubeless insulin pump for people with diabetes. The Accu-Chek Solo micropump is the first detachable tubeless insulin pump approved by the FDA, offering a new level of freedom and flexibility for people with diabetes who rely on insulin therapy.
The Accu-Chek Solo micropump is a small, lightweight, and discreet device that delivers insulin directly to the skin without tubing. The pump can be worn on a variety of body locations and can be detached and reattached without wasting insulin. The pump also features a built-in bolus calculator and the ability to deliver bolus insulin with or without a handheld remote-control device.
It is not avaiable to Arkansans yet.
